In this art class students will learn to use a variety of materials and techniques such as lead pencil, oil pastel, soft pastel, watercolour paint and acrylic paint. They will explore colour, art and design and take home beautiful art works. During classes we will be learning tips on how to achieve the best results. The classes are fun and relaxing, the best way to learn to love art, and start a passion.
CREATIVE KIDS (5-8 yrs)

ART CLUB (9-14 yrs)

Start the term by exploring John Olsen’s playful approach to “lines on a journey,” creating a canvas artwork using expressive lines, tints and shades. Then discover contemporary artist Emma Gale and decorate a bold horse drawing with bright colours, patterns and oil pastels. Celebrate Lunar New Year with a red paper-cut horse window decoration inspired by traditional Chinese art. Finish the term by recreating the iconic Luna Park entrance using mixed media to explore symmetry, colour and imaginative detail. Art projects are made age appropriate for each class.
MANGA MASTERCLASS (8-14 yrs)
Thurs 5-6pm | Commencing: 5 Feb
Start the term by learning how to draw manga-style clothing and accessories, exploring folds, textures and movement while practising bags, shoes and props, then using alcohol markers to experiment with colour blending and shading. Students will then move on to drawing a full anime figure, building characters from basic shapes and refining proportions, poses, facial features and smooth marker colouring. The term finishes with a custom “OOTD” character project, where students design their own base figure and create mix-and-match outfits, hairstyles and accessories using rich tones, gradients and detailed marker techniques.
