Hoang Long Nguyen is a Vietnamese creative practitioner who specialises in painting, graphic design, media art, and food photography. He is also the recipient of Merit Scholarship 2020 for Master of Applied Design and Art, as well as four letters of commendation for outstanding academic achievements, at Curtin University.

In this three-hour workshop, Long will explain what an artist’s statement is, why it is important, and how to write one effectively. The participants will have to bring a few photos of their work that they would like to create a finely tailored artist’s statement for, along with writing tools (e.g. laptop with Microsoft Word or Google Docs, iPad, pen and paper, etc.).
