WE ARE 10
When: Saturday 9 December to Wednesday 31 January
Where: Victoria Park Centre For The Arts
This exhibition celebrates 10 years since WA first appointed a Commissioner for Children and Young People to consult and promote the views of the state's 589,000 children and young people.
Year 4 students from across WA were asked to think about what is important to them at this stage of their lives, what they like to do and what they would like to change in their community. They responded through original artworks and written statements to create a snapshot of what it means to be 10 years old and growing up in WA.
The views of around 4,300 West Australian 10 year-olds have been showcased in the unique We Are 10 Project, coordinated by the Commissioner for Children and Young People.
