Happenings at the Victoria Park Centre for the Arts
March-April
Community engagement will be the focus of a series of interactive multi-media art workshops facilitated by an experienced artist.
Monday 20 March-24 April 6.30pm-9.30pm
Fadilah Sabiry will bring women together in a safe and inclusive environment that encourages women to celebrate their Arabic heritage and cultural background as part of the Australian society through singing Arabic and Iraqi folk songs.

The Town’s Art Collection comprises of approximately 70 artworks, with a primary focus on the work of Western Australian artists. Artworks span a wide range of media; over half of the Collection consists of paintings, with the remainder of the collection including sculpture, drawings, ceramics, print works, photographs and textiles.

Creative Connections is a not-for-profit organisation operated by a team of volunteers who work together to provide opportunities to raise community awareness of people with disabilities and to provide avenues for them to connect by developing creative connections through art and poetry.

The Said Poets Society, a local non-profit, is running a four-workshop performance poetry masterclass over four weeks with 10 Victoria Park locals, culminating in a performance poetry showcase open to the whole community.

Paula Silbert, renowned arts consultant, curator and media personality will guide you through a game- changing workshop.
Ideal for visual artists, sculptors, crafts practitioners, designer-makers, mural artists, public artists, emerging, mid-career and established artists, art teachers and their peers.

An intimate evening of poetry.

Help raise awareness of autism by indulging in this visual feast for the eyes. Artworks are created during a series of workshops undertaken throughout the year by children and young adults with autism.

‘Express Yourself’ will involve a call out to the community to submit works in any creative form. Works will be accepted from any individual, group, visual artist, musician, performer community group, business, school etc.
